Woodchurch Estate is owned by Graham and Donna Barbour. Originally from a publishing background but with a passion for wine and viticulture, they have been planning a grape production venture for a number of years. Both have studied at Plumpton College, recently completing viticulture courses there. In addition, vitcultural consultants highly respected within the industry have been engaged to ensure maximum quality and yield will be achieved from the site.
It is commonly recognized that southern England now provides the potential for perfect growing conditions for grapes to produce exceptional sparkling wine. This is being demonstrated by a increasing number of international awards for wines from Kent and Sussex. The combination of this timing with the perfect location and the right management will enable Woodchurch Estate to produce wine of the highest quality.
